For collection of seeds of indigenous plants an appeal was made to school head masters that school children can collect seeds during summer vacation. Dr. Aruna Bhamabre Principal Shree Samarth College of Education and Research (B.Ed.) Mhasne Phata, Supa Pa rner and her staff took interest and become associated with MAESA foundation. Total five schools showed interest in this campaign and school children collected seeds during summer season. The members of MAESA foundation and Dr. Aruna Bhambre visited the s chools and gathered seeds from schools. During the school visit children were educated regarding importance of indigenous plants in the ecosystem and how invasive species are disturbing and competing with native plant species in our terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. School headmasters and teachers also took interest in this campaign. Total five schools form Parner tehsil participated in this campaign. The seeds gathered during this campaign were given to Mr. Amit Gaikwad (nursery) at Ahmednagar. During th is campaign MAESA gave indigenous plant seedlings to each school and school children planted these in their school campuses.
