Incubation program under Green Schools on “Environmental Education and Sustainable Development” was organised at Shakuntalabai Anandrao Shitole Secondary School, old Sangvi, Pune. Prof. Savita Laware worked as expert. She educated school children on the basic concepts of environment and pollution. The importance cleanliness, health hygiene, potable water, trees, animals, microbes in our life were explained to them. She gave environmental oath to the students and teachers and establisher ‘Eco-club’ in the school. School students agreed to plant one indigenous tree. Students were asked to observe flowering plants and trees growing in their school premises and also types of birds, butterflies visiting to these plants. Shri Shivajirao Mane (School Headmaster) gave permission to conduct the program. All the teachers were actively participated in training and incubation program.
