June 30, 2022 | Ongoing Project |
Education
Protection of environment and conservation of biodiversity in our surrounding has become a necessity
for sustainable development in every sense. MAESA foundation in association its partner colleges and
schools have dedicated themselves
to protect the environment and conserve biodiversity around each
institution, village and human settlement throughout Maharashtra for ensuring our future generations
with all necessities to survive. To achieve this ‘The Green School’ project is planned, which
focuses on educating school children of
Maharashtra on how to approach our environment in a sustainable way, so that current generations can
provide for their basic needs, without depriving future generations of theirs.
The Green School is a school which creates clean, healthy, protective and green surroundings with optimum use of energy, natural resources and money. MAESA integrates efforts to reduce schools' ecological footprints, make school environment healthier, and involve every member of school to think about solutions to the problems that school is facing. We live in a world where it has become more and more important to live “green” as environmental concerns rise. It is no longer enough to simply recycle or buy reusable items for the home. For this reason, many citizens are also attempting to go green in their workplace. When incorporated into schools in particular, this practice not only offers the opportunity to reduce our current environmental impact but also instills students with good, green habits that they can carry into adulthood. A green school offers tremendous benefits to its students, staff, administration, and ultimately the nation.
Students from Schools, Colleges and Universities are all welcome to volunteer for Green School Project with MAESA Foundation.
